What Goes Around Comes Around

A friend reminded me today

she too is here for me

Like the wind beneath my wings

she’s flying with me and holding me secure

My friend offered me the opportunity

to say to her,“Thank you for that, 

it was just what I needed!”

Something others have often said to me

Today I felt loved, 

I felt listened to and heard

My friend’s response opened up 

my inquisitive mind and my loving heart

As in a breath of peace 

In a breath of renewal 

In the feel of a gentle loving touch  

My friend, in her unique way,

loved me today and I felt it touch me 

and it changed my state of mind

She offered me the same type of love

she probably would have offered herself

In one concise and powerful message

she got me to stop, reconsider my thoughts

and my feelings and move forward

“Love yourself, forgive yourself and others,
be neutral to emotions and circumstance, 
know Spirit cares and will always care for you 

Allow yourself to be carried and cradled

and loved in the same manner you have 

so many times carried and cradled others” 

How very sweet, how very refreshing

my friend’s reminder of what I already knew 
Spirit, God, this Amazing Universe 

is forever on my side, in front, in back, inside 
and all around me just waiting to help me 

move gently and compassionately forward
